Anoche Cantina & Six40rty – Surprise Launch Coming Soon

Mill Ave is making a comeback in a big way this August, with the opening of new nightlife locations – Anoche and Six40ty in the center of Mill Ave. We met with Thomas Lawson, the Operations Manager for both locations to walkthrough the venues and chat about his plans to revive the bar scene in Tempe.

Anoche can’t be missed driving down downtown Tempe, as it sits on the corner of Mill W 6th St. Of course no bar on Mill can forget about its ASU students, and the new modern cantina and nightclub is equipped with interactive instagrammable opportunities throughout the entire venue just for them. From the “About Last Night” neon art installation, to the build your own margarita bar, it’s going to be the perfect sexy atmosphere by day, and energetic party by night. Bottle Service? Of course. Top-of-the-line sound system? Absolutely. DJ? Every weekend night. The food and beverage program has also been split into 2 personalities to match your mood, a LOCO and CLASSICO category. You can guess which category we’ll be leaning towards.

Next to Anoche will be Six40rty, a little different vibe and atmosphere to appeal to those that prefer an upscale sports bar experience instead. This 10,000-square-foot spot features an outdoor patio with tons of games for guests while enjoying their favorite sports on one of the 70+ TVs in the venue. No other place in Tempe currently offers this outdoor game experience and will be a huge addition to Mill Ave. “With Six40rty, we wanted to create the premier place on Mill for people to come hang out, watch the Sun Devils, Cardinals, and all their favorite teams, and get together to have fun, play games, eat, and drink in a one-of-kind setting,” says Managing Partner Thomas Lawson. “As someone who went to ASU and was a part of some very popular concepts in Tempe, I know firsthand what an incredible culture and history there is here. We are looking forward to bringing back that level of anticipation and helping shape this exciting next chapter.” With 30 Beers on tap, best in class lighting and sound system, and a versatile food and beverage program, we’re looking forward to this new hot spot opening-up especially with football season starting.
